After sequencing part BBa_K316005 during the assembly process of BBa_K515100 we found that there was a one base pair mutation in the promoter. We named this new version of the promoter pVeg2 and used it in our construct.

This BioBrick has been sequence verified.

We have made a protein gel in order to verify whether the promoter is over-expressing XylE in the BBa_K316005 construct in a DH5-α strain of Escherichia coli. The results showed a clear thick band corresponding to the correct size of the protein.
